The Caesarea Development Corporation has placed, at the entrance to the 8 Cluster,  bin for the recycling of electronic waste. The recycling bin are for computers and other electronic components such as hard disks, power supply units, laptop computers, cables, circuit boards, servers, keyboards and mice, scanners, routers, transformers, fax machines, LCD screens, cameras, modems, radios, DVDs, telephones, battery chargers  and MP3 players.

The Caesarea Development Corporation places great emphasis on the environment and aims to implement a policy that adheres to the demands of the law and allocates resources to achieve environmental goals including a special emphasis on water quality in the Caesarea Park aquifer.

The corporation actively seeks to promote recycling both in Caesarea and the Caesarea Industrial Park because of its clear and direct benefit to the environment. As part of its vision for the environment, the Corporation looked for a solution for the recycling of unused electronic equipment thrown out of resident s homes as well as offices and factories in the Industrial Park.

Collecton of the equipment and its recycling into the various raw materials used in its production is done by Snunit Recycling, a pioneer in this field in Israel. The company is committed to 100% recycling and the supply of the recycled materials to the electronics, automobile and other industries for reuse. The electronic waste is dismantled at a special workshop on Kibbutz Mishmarot and sent to the central plant of Sims Recycling in Europe that recycle waste in accordance with the most strict and stringent standards and regulations in operation today. Dangerous substances (toner, batteries, mercury, lead etc.) are treated in accordance with accordance to regulations of the Ministry for the Protection of the Environment. Hard disks, are ground up to ensure that information stored on them cannot be used again.

Four important reasons for recycling electronic waste:
1. To preserve our planet and especially to reduce the damage to water sources and the aquifer.

2. To increase awareness of the possibilities of recycling and to reduce consumption and wastage.
