Ancient Caesarea comes to life
A new experience at Caesarea Harbor - a dramatized tour.

In order to enrich the experience of a visit to Caesarea's ancient Harbor, a new attraction is being offered to visitors on Saturday's, and at no extra cost! As you explore the ancient harbor, street theatre performers will present figures from the past and tell stories and events from Caesarea's exciting history.
The street theatre performances are part of the guided tour that encompasses three areas: the Hippodrome, the Roman Baths and the Old City (the harbor).
At each of the three stations visitors will receive an explanation about the spot and its role in Caesarea life. Following each explanation, actors will dramatize events taken from Caesarea's history. The tour starts at the Amphitheatre where we meet King Herod, continues on to the Hippodrome for an encounter with a renowned Gladiator owner and agent, and finishes at the city's ancient bath house where we will hear juicy tales of life in ancient Caesarea. Finally, participants are invited to the "Journey Through Time" multimedia presentation at the harbor.
Each dramatization is accompanied by scenery and performed by professional actors wearing costumes and using props taken from the period they are dramatizing.
Each scene lasts for approximately 10 minutes, after which the tour moves on to the next station. In all, the tour takes about one hour.
The tour is suitable for all visitors including families with children and at no extra cost!
Tours will be held on Saturdays during March and April (apart from the week of Passover. 3rd April)
Caesarea Harbor also offers visitors a wonderful beach, restaurants and coffee shops on the waterfront, art galleries and artists workshops.
Entry to the Caesarea National Park costs only 36 Shekels for adults and 22 for children.
