From the 1st of April Caesarea and Gaash Golf Clubs will be using the EGA handicap System as per a decision by the Israel Golf association to fall in line with Europe Golf.
The EGA Handicap System will reflect more accurately the golfer's ability, and would ask that you read the following directives, to help with the smooth transition to the new EGA Handicap System.
The EGA Handicap system accepts only the following score cards;
1. Competitions such as Individual Medal or Individual Stableford qualify for handicap, other type of competitions do not qualify for handicap purposes. If a golfer enters one of the qualifying competitions and does not submit a scorecard a no return will be entered for him/her.
2. The system allows for Extra Day Score (EDS). One EDS score card a month in addition to competitions, with the following proviso: A golfer must nominate and register at the Proshop before going out to play the score that day is to be a EDS; the EDS score will qualify for handicap.
3. If the golfer registers for EDS and does not submit a scorecard, a NO RETURN will be entered for him.
4. We will issue a Handicap list twice a month.
5. All cards must be signed by the player and his marker, please write the date, your computer number, name and colour of the tee you are playing from. Please write all the information very clearly.
6. For information the EGA system converts all scores to Stableford points, with each scorecard entered it will adjust the golfer's handicap index.
7. Players in handicap category 4.4 and less may not return an extra day score.
