The Caesarea Harbor Jazz Festival celebrates its sixth year. The festival is held this year with Zappa with a slightly different format.
The celebration of Jazz will, just as in the past, last for three nights, but on Friday and Saturday, there will be two performances each evening so that even more fans will be able to enjoy this exciting celebration of Jazz. Alongside the main shows, there will also be a "Streets of New Orleans" happening with performances throughout the night at the Beach Bar on the seafront.

At 22:00, the godfather of blues, British guitarist John Mayall



Mayall has a musical career of over 40 years. He has played with Eric Clapton, founded the legendary BluesBikers and influenced the career of many musicians including John McVie, Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, Mick Taylor, Harvey Mandel, Larry Taylor and Andy Fraser. Mayall has recorded 57 albums, the last in the autumn of 2009.

20:00 the virtuoso quartet Quadro Nuevo



Jazz and music from around the world in rich, stirring performances by the instrumental quartet with jazz, tango, waltz, arabesque and flamenco being just part of their repertoire.
All the albums released by Quadro Nuevo have won the German Jazz Award and have climbed to the top of the jazz and world music charts and the list of top 50 albums.
The group includes Mulo Francel on saxophone and clarinet, Robert Wolfe on guitar and bouzouki, Andreas Hinterseher on accordion and xylophone and D.D. Lowka on bass.

22:30 - the legendary trumpet player, Nicolas Payton.



In 1994 Payton released his first album, "From This Moment" and since then the trumpet player has received acclaim and praise and is considered to be one of the youngest musicians ever to have made his mark on the world of jazz. His repertoire covers the spectrum from traditional jazz to experiments with electronic music. 34 year old Payton recently released his fourth album.

19:30 - Achinoam Nini hosts the pianist, David Pana Dorantes.



Achinoam Nini hosts and collaborates with one of the most talented and well known jazz pianists from Spain, Nini, singer and composer, has appeared with the world's greatest artists including Sting, Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana, Sheryl Crow, Al Di Meola, Annie Lomax, Mercedes Sousa and many more. In 2009, along with Mira Awad, she represented Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow.
Her performance in Caesarea includes arrangements to her already familiar songs as well as original jazz songs composed by her.

22:00 - a musical performance with Karen Ann, Shlomi Saban and Avishi Cohen.



Joining Karen Ann, artist, creator and performer, with five international solo albums and countless, unforgettable performances around the world, and Shlomi Saban, singer and piano virtuoso and one of the rare talents that Israel has produced over the past decade, is trumpet player, Avishi Cohen who comes to Israel especially for this the, closing performance of the festival.
During their performance they will perform a selection of their songs and provide the audience with acoustic interpretations of familiar songs.
