About the Project

The Caesarea Development Corporation, which owns the Golf Club, decided to upgrade the golf course and make it one that meets the highest international standards.

The plans of renowned golf course architect Pete Dye, who is considered a world legend in the field, includes the redesign and reconstruction of fairways built in the 1960s. The new plan extends the fairways on the course by 300 meters.

In the project plan, the CDC is assisted by internationally renowned consultants and experts Jeff Fleishman (USA) - international expert on golf course development, Colin Hegarty(Ireland) - one of the leading consultants on the golf industry in the world, Richard Wax (France) - golf consultant, journalist and golf course ranker, Tim Liddy, leading golf course architect who works in Pete Dye's office.
According to the consultants, Pete Dye's name will draw golfers from all over the world to Caesarea, and will make Caesarea an international tourist asset that draws golf tourists, Jewish and non-Jewish, from around the world. In addition, the CDC hired the services of famed ecology expert Dr. Ron Promkin, who has accompanied the Corporation throughout the process in order to maintain the ecological values and vista.

Construction began in August 2007. The club opened at May 1st.

The new golf course will be ranked up there with the finest clubs the world, and will serve the golfer population in Israel, as well as host international competitions. The club will draw tourists and be a source of tremendous pride for Israel.
