The Theater and Attractions in Caesarea - Join the Dramatized Tour in Old Caesarea!
A pair of ambitious actors who perform witty Roman comedy are trying to raise funds to put on a play for one of Caesarea's wealthy patrons. In the meantime, they are supplementing their income to earn a living.
The actors, standing near the port, welcome people coming off the boats and offer everyone a guided tour of the city, fine food, beat and horse races, beautiful women and young men, illegal gambling and, of course, selected excerpts from the new comedy that they are starring in!
Audiences tour a Roman city in the Mediterranean, visiting the city facilities, and learn about Herod's vision and personality. They will hear juicy gossip about the city's patrons. The tour will end with viewings of selected excerpts from the pair's comedy.
The finest in Roman theatrical tradition in Caesarea! Colorful wardrobes, masks, various figures, an amusing plot borrowed from everyday life in Rome!...Strong Greek influence.
