Dogs are a happy part of our lives in Caesarea.
A family that chooses to raise a dog is responsible for that dog's immunization, tags, license and behavior in public.
We would like to inform you of the Rabies Ordinance Law: Annual immunization and license for a dog are the responsibility of every dog owner. Every dog must be immunized once they reach 3 months of age.
Dog are tagged by a microchip in order to facilitate dog identification. The chip, smaller than a grain of rice, is implanted underneath the dog's skin. The chip has a number that can be read and is entered into the national database.
The chip is implanted during the immunization visit and is a one-time event. Chip implantation must be scheduled with the Hof Hakarmel Regional Council Veterinarian, Dr. Michael Shragenheim at Tel.: 8136210. The Council Veterinarian is available every first Sunday of the month from 17:00 at the Youth Center in Neighborhood 8.
When you go out with your dog into the public, you must leash the dog and place a muzzle on its mouth.

A dog owner who didn't prevent his dog from leaving the yard can expect to pay NIS 500 in fines and if the dog is caught, additional fees will be added for dog transportation and lodging in the kennel.
A repeat offense will incur a double fine.
The regulations are instituted to correct a situation in which an indictment had to be filed for every separate offense with the court and those convicted faced a fine that was based on the judge's discretion as well as a criminal record.
